The material changes how a patch looks, feels, and wears. Here's a quick way to narrow it down.

Start with the artwork

If your design has fine detail or small text, woven holds it better than embroidery. If it's bold and simple, embroidered or chenille both work.

Then the garment

Going on denim or a bag? Leather ages nicely. Outdoors or on a pack? PVC is waterproof and tough.
